Finca La Primavera
The “Champ” is here!
Arnulfo earned his nickname in 2011, when he took first place in the highly coveted Cup of Excellence. He has since become one of the leading producers to popularize the Sidra variety, an Ecuadorian cultivar known for its expressive florals and vibrant sweetness. In San Agustín, within Colombia’s Huila region, Arnulfo stands as both a benchmark and a mentor. While Huila is a powerhouse of coffee production, San Agustín is defined by smaller farms pushing quality forward. The community is full of young, motivated growers still finding their footing, and Arnulfo has become a steady, guiding presence—like a captain wearing the “C” on his jacket. Now, the next generation is stepping in. Arnulfo’s son, Diego, is taking on a larger role in the family operation. He’s studying cupping and the business side, but just as often you’ll find him in boots—shoveling compost and planting seedlings. Thefuture looks bright.
This lot is a classic washed process and a reminder of how exceptional a clean, minimally processed Sidra can be. We keep the roast light to preserve its delicate florals and lively, bright character.
